I’m summarizing four viewing areas in Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park by means of google map and pictures I took during my visit. Hope it helps to plan your trip to the national park. Please note that photos all uploaded here were taken at the Mid-Sep.
1. ULURU SUNSET VIEWING AREA
It is one of popular viewing areas in Uluru. There are actually two sunset viewing areas provided, one is for individual visits while the other is for Tour buses. A photo above is about the former one.
2. ULURU SUNRISE VIEWING AREA
From the viewing area, both fine Sunrise and Sunset are expected.
There are platforms for viewing as shown in the photo above.
3. KATA TJUTA VIEWING AREA
There is a platform giving us opportunities to see Uluru (toward the east) and Kata Tjuta (toward the north).

It is the best place to view the sunset with Kata Tjuta.
